The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), Singapore is looking for a dedicated Animal Care Officer (ACO) to join their team at 50 Sungei Tengah Road. This is a Permanent role essential for the daily welfare and rehabilitation of shelter animals.
Key Responsibilities
The ACO ensures that all animals under SPCA’s care are healthy, happy, and ready for their forever homes:

Husbandry & Hygiene: Clean and sanitize animal enclosures daily, ensuring they are safe. This includes washing and sterilizing all feeding equipment.

Healthcare: Feed animals and administer prescribed medications. Observe animals for any signs of disease or injury and report findings to supervisors.

Enrichment & Grooming: Execute exercise routines, enrichment programs, and regular bathing schedules to keep animals physically and mentally stimulated.

Adoption Services: Conduct adoption appointments, screen potential adopters, and provide post-adoption support to ensure successful placements.

Operational Support: Complete management checklists and occasionally assist Animal Rescue Officers with difficult rescue cases.
Required Qualifications & Traits

Education & Language: Must be able to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.

Physical Fitness: The role involves manual labor in a semi-outdoor environment, requiring high physical fitness.

Mindset: A strong passion for animal welfare, meticulous attention to detail, and good interpersonal skills are essential.

Experience: While open to Fresh/entry level candidates, 1 year of experience working with animals is an advantage.
Salary & Location

Monthly Salary: $2,000 to $2,200.
