TAN TOCK SENG HOSPITAL PTE LTD (TTSH) is seeking a Patient Service Associate (PSA) to join their Specialist Outpatient Clinics (SOC). This Full Time, Non-executive role is a vital frontline position where you act as a key touchpoint in the patient’s healthcare journey, combining customer service with essential clinical support.
Key Responsibilities
The role is multifaceted, covering administrative, financial, and basic clinical duties within a consultation setting:

Frontline Service: Handle patient registration, walk-in enquiries, and provide a professional, empathetic experience for all visitors.

Appointment & Records: Manage complex appointment scheduling and care coordination. You will also handle the administration and retrieval of patients’ medical records.

Financial Duties: Perform collection of payments and provide financial counselling, which involves explaining estimated bills, available subsidies (like MediShield Life or CHAS), and payment options to patients and their families.

Clinical Support: Assist doctors during medical reviews in consultation rooms. This may include chaperoning, preparing the room, and performing basic patient care tasks like taking height and weight.
Required Qualifications & Experience

Experience: Requires 1 year of experience in customer service or a related frontline role.

Education: Typically requires a Diploma in any discipline, GCE ‘A’/’O’ Levels, or Higher NITEC/NITEC in Business or Service Skills.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer applications is essential, as you will use Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and handle financial transactions.

Attributes: Must demonstrate high levels of care, empathy, and professionalism. The ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is critical.
Working Hours & Schedule
The SOC generally operates during standard medical office hours, though flexibility is required:

Standard Hours: Typically Mondays to Fridays, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and staggered shifts on Saturdays (e.g., 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM).

Arrangement: Often follows a 5.25-day work week or alternate Saturday schedule.
Salary & Benefits
