A full time contract job opportunity is available at Pet Lovers Centre in Singapore. The candidate will perform the duties of a retail assistant. Key responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day business operations of the retail store. They will greet customers and make them feel welcome. The candidate will perform cashiering functions and handle counter closings. They will discover customer needs and recommend products and solutions. They will promote and market membership sign-ups and renewals. They will provide tender loving care to small animals in the store and perform general housekeeping to maintain a safe environment.
Required qualifications
The candidate is not required to have a degree certificate or diploma. They must be physically fit to carry at least 22kg and climb ladders. The candidate should be willing to have direct contact with animals and work in a pet retail environment containing fur and dust. They must be able to handle food packaging products that contain pork, beef, seafood, lamb, and poultry.
Experience needed
This is a non-executive level position. The candidate should have at least 1 year of working experience in customer service or retail sales. Any additional experience in upselling will be considered an asset. Continuous learning and product knowledge training will be provided to the selected candidates.
Skills and competencies
The candidate should be approachable and be a good listener. They should be able to overcome customer objections and close sales with pride. The candidate should have strong communication skills to generate interest. They should be flexible with the working hours, which will be either 10:00 am to 10:00 pm or 11:00 am to 9:30 pm depending on the outlet. They should maintain a professional attitude at work.
Benefits
The selected candidate will get a salary of $2,500 to $3,000 on a monthly basis. This is a full time contract employment opportunity. Financial benefits including a sign-on bonus of $600 and target incentives of up to $410 will be provided to the candidate.
