Key responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for making frequent rounds to attend to residents’ needs and ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. They will assist with personal hygiene tasks, such as showering, grooming, nail trimming, changing diapers, and changing bed sheets. The candidate will help serve meals, assist with the oral feeding of residents without swallowing disorders, and help nursing staff transfer and position non-ambulant residents. They will also accompany residents to specialist outpatient clinics, participate in recreational therapy programs, maintain a clean environment, and accurately document the care rendered.
Required qualifications
The candidate is required to have a minimum of primary or secondary education. They should be legally eligible to work in Singapore. The candidate must be physically capable of assisting with the transfer and positioning of residents and be comfortable performing general hygiene and cleaning tasks. They must be willing to familiarize themselves with standard operating procedures and all emergency protocols.
Experience needed
This is a fresh and entry level position in the healthcare sector. The candidate is not required to have any prior working experience. Any type of personal caregiving or community service experience will be considered an asset. On the job guidance and staff development programs will be provided to the selected candidates to help them succeed in their clinical care duties.
