Accountant

A full time job opportunity is available at STRENGTH PTE. LTD. in Singapore. The candidate will perform the duties of an accountant. Key responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting the Financial Controller to manage proper full set accounting transactions and ensure smooth business operations. They will work within pre-determined deadlines to deliver the month-end and year-end accounts closing. The candidate will manage data entry into the computerized accounting system, payment processing, and the preparation of monthly schedules, cash flow statements, bank reconciliations, and expenses analysis. They will maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable systems to ensure complete and accurate records for outgoing and incoming funds. They will highlight cash flow concerns and liaise closely with external auditors, secretaries, and tax consultants to meet legislative requirements. They will also ensure documents are well controlled as per company policy and execute other assigned tasks as delegated by their superior.

Required qualifications

The candidate is preferred to have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, a relevant discipline, or possess an ACCA qualification. They should be legally eligible to work in Singapore. The candidate must be highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications. They must be capable of fully complying with financial policies and procedures in accordance with strict Accounting Standard requirements.

Experience needed

This is a professional level position. The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience handling a full set of accounts. Any prior experience working within the construction industry will be highly preferred and considered a strong asset. On the job guidance regarding the company’s specific computerized financial systems and document retrieval policies will be provided to the selected candidates.

The candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. They should be meticulous with details and highly able to multitask to meet strict reporting deadlines. The candidate must be independent and possess a high level of initiative to administer and monitor the financial activities. They should have excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with external parties. They should be able to follow financial procedures carefully and maintain a highly professional attitude at work.
