Bicycle Mechanic

L & T CYCLE PTE. LTD. is looking for a skilled Bicycle Mechanic to join their retail and service center in Tampines. This Full Time role covers a broad spectrum of repair work, ranging from traditional mechanical builds to advanced e-bike diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities

The role requires a mix of mechanical precision and technical troubleshooting for both manual and electric systems:

Assembly & Tune-ups: Unbox and professionally assemble new mechanical bicycles. Conduct regular tune-ups to ensure every bike operates at peak performance and meets safety standards.
Advanced Diagnostics: Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and electrical faults on e-bikes to identify the specific components requiring repair.
Component Repair: Execute repairs on both mechanical (gears, brakes, bearings) and electrical (motors, controllers, wiring) components to restore full functionality.
Quality Assurance: Rigorously test all repaired bikes to confirm that all issues are fully resolved before handing the vehicle back to the customer.
Operational Efficiency: Maintain an organized workshop and use basic selling skills to recommend parts or upgrades to customers.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Experience: Open to Fresh/Entry Level candidates, though 1 year of experience in bicycle repair or a related mechanical field is preferred.
Technical Skills: Ability to handle both traditional bicycle tools and electronic diagnostic equipment.
Attributes: Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to ensure the safety of every vehicle that leaves the shop.
