A job interview in English and finding a new job in English can be a daunting task for non-native speakers. It can also be a daunting task for native speakers. A memorable thing is that looking for a job doesn’t just write a CV in English. It is a process that considers many things that begin with an understanding of your skills and personality traits and end with your final job interview. That is why we will discuss what I think is a good approach to the whole English job search and interview process.
The job interview is in English and the way to look for a job is a comprehensive approach to looking for a job. The general approach is that all the pieces work and match to achieve the final positive result, a new job. Don’t break it down into separate parts like writing a resume, writing an email, preparing for a job interview, and so on. All the various parts are connected and intertwined and the process can be done in such a way that they work together to achieve that positive result. The research and work you do can be used to compile your resume into a cover letter and answer interview questions. Also, as you prepare and make your resume, you need to consider how this information will match your cover letter or answer an interview question. At the same time, you need to consider what you need to change or add to this information to make it useful later in the process. The information in this and in the following stages will help you demonstrate and demonstrate skills and personal traits in your cover letter and in the answers to the job interview questions at your next job interview in English.
The information you collect will be used for demonstration and testing. Showing and proving is not a new concept. Several interview writers have mentioned it before. It’s about being able to tell people where or how you acquired your skills (proof) or having a story or example to show you how to use your skills and show character traits (show). Proving that you have the skills involves identifying where you acquired them. Did you learn it through courses, did you get it using it, or did you learn it while working? Demonstrating that you have the necessary skills and personality traits is telling stories or examples of your accomplishment of something, and this will show the reader or interviewer that you are using some basic skills. It will also showcase some of your personality traits. The main memory is that the skills and traits you show must be some of the essential traits and skills that the company is looking for in the person who will perform the job.
Your preparation for your next job interview or career change should begin with your resume. Here you collect information and translate it into English. You need to look at the tasks you have performed in your previous jobs and outside activities, and identify the skills you have used to perform these tasks. This will help you know where you have acquired your skills. You have acquired the skills through your learning (education) or through use (jobs, volunteering in organizations, etc.). So by looking at your homework, you can determine what skills you have and where you learned or acquired them. This is the validation part of the presentation and demonstration where you show that you have the skills, specifying where and how you learned or acquired them.
We finished discussing the information and resumed writing parts of the process, so next, we will discuss the cover letter/email. This is what you write in your email when you send your resume to apply for the advertised job. The cover email catches their attention. In your cover letter, you will show and demonstrate that you have many of the essential skills and qualities they need for the job. One of the key skills may be to develop relationships with customers and not be able to use a computer, so be sure to include most of the basic skills in your email. An email in an envelope will help you get an interview. Remember to include a story or two on the cover of your email. The stories you include will be a shortened version of the one or two stories mentioned above.
