Based in Bedok, this Permanent role acts as a vital bridge between Japan HQ and regional manufacturing sites, driving the implementation of global manufacturing policies through localized strategies.
📋 Key Responsibilities
The role combines high-level strategy design with hands-on engineering support and organizational development:

Strategy & Planning: Design regional manufacturing strategies that align with Japan HQ’s policies. You will translate long-term goals into detailed action items and provide optimal engineering solutions.

Manufacturing Innovation: Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to develop Industrial Engineering (IE) analysis methods. You will lead efforts to accelerate innovation and enhance the operational foundation of various manufacturing sites.

Stakeholder Negotiation: Negotiate budgets with Japan HQ and secure agreements on the direction of regional activities.

Human Resource Development: Reinforce operational capabilities by training staff in manufacturing innovation. As a manager, you will develop your team’s skills to strengthen the organization’s core competence.

Resource Management: Allocate expenses and resources effectively while overseeing essential administration duties for the Asia Operational Strategy Team.
🎓 Job Requirements

Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or Post Graduate qualification.

Experience: Over 5 years of experience in Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) and extensive knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methods.

Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge and practical experience in constructing Smart Manufacturing environments.

Language Proficiency: Must be proficient in Japanese (JLPT N1 level). This is essential for communicating effectively with Japan HQ, Japanese Managing Directors, and coordinating with related Japanese parties.

Cultural Fit: Familiarity with Japanese firm operations and excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
