DELCIE’S DESSERTS AND CAKES PTE. LTD. is looking for a Pastry Chef Kitchen Assistant or Commis Chef to join their specialized bakery near Boon Keng/Whampoa. Delcie’s is a pioneer in the “healthy bakery” space, specializing in vegan, allergy-friendly, and diabetic-friendly cakes that are free from eggs, dairy, and chemicals.

Key Responsibilities

This role is perfect for a baker interested in specialized dietary requirements and healthy baking innovation:

  • Specialized Baking: Prepare and bake pastries and cakes according to strict SOPs to ensure they remain vegan, allergy-free, and diabetic-friendly.

  • Cake Decoration: Apply creative input to decorate baked goods, ensuring they align with modern design trends while meeting dietary constraints.

  • Production Management: Assist in managing the production schedule and accurately fulfilling orders at the Chin Swee (Chinatown) cold kitchen.

  • Hygiene & Safety: Maintain the highest levels of kitchen hygiene, which is especially critical when handling allergen-free products.

  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Communicate with the retail team to understand customer preferences and dietary needs, and occasionally engage with customers directly to personalize products.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience: Requires 2 years of experience in the F&B industry, specifically in pastry or baking.

  • Technical Skills: Willingness to use new technology to improve baking efficiency and a strong ability to follow strict SOPs to ensure consistent quality.

  • Attributes: A strong sense of teamwork, integrity, and a proactive “willingness to learn” attitude for adapting to specialized baking techniques.

Salary & Details

  • Monthly Salary: $2,400 to $2,800.

  • Type: Full Time, Non-executive.

  • Awards: Recognized as a “Healthier Choice Bakery” by the Singapore Health Promotion Board since 2011.
