Technician

ZPMC SOUTHEAST ASIA PTE. LTD. is hiring for several technical roles to support operations at PSA Singapore Terminals. These Full Time positions at the Executive level are critical for the maintenance and reliability of heavy port machinery in one of the world’s busiest transshipment hubs.

📋 Specialized Roles & Responsibilities

The company is looking for specialists in three distinct technical areas:

Mechanical Technician: Responsible for the installation, commissioning, and repair of specialized port equipment such as STS (Ship-to-Shore) cranes, RTG (Rubber Tyred Gantry) cranes, and Spreaders. You will inspect and replace mechanical components to ensure maximum equipment uptime.
Electrical Technician: Focuses on the wiring, commissioning, and maintenance of complex electrical systems. Key tasks include inspecting control systems, sensors, and heavy-duty cabling, as well as troubleshooting electrical faults to ensure safe operations.
Welder: Responsible for the structural repair of steel components and brackets. You must be proficient in common processes like Arc and $CO_2$ welding, ensuring all work meets rigorous quality standards and design drawings.

🎓 Required Qualifications & Experience

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, with a preference for those who have worked with port machinery or heavy industrial equipment.
Physical Demands: Must be physically fit and comfortable working in outdoor conditions and at heights.
Language: Basic English communication skills are required to understand and follow critical safety instructions.

Mandatory Certifications

Candidates must possess at least one of the following:

Work at Height (WAH) Certificate
Confined Space Certificate
Boom Lift Operator License

Preferred Assets

Possessing a Crane Rigger/Lifting Certificate, Forklift License, or a Welder Qualification Certificate will be considered a significant advantage.

Workplace: PSA Singapore Terminals (Islandwide).
Working Hours: Subject to specific project requirements, with overtime as required to meet port operational demands.
